Biography

Agata Banach holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biophysics, specialised in Optics and Optometry at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. After graduating she pursued an internship at the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance, where she worked on developing novel interventional transcranial stimulation approaches for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. She was also involved in a project which aimed to discover the cortical origin of immediate transcranial evoked potentials, visible around 2.5 ms after delivering the transcranial stimulation pulse.

Currently Agata is a Neuroscience Master Student at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Her Master’s Thesis project is based on the RECOVER project, a longitudinal multimodal study examining recovery after stroke. She is focusing on the acquisition and analysis of fMRI data on healthy controls.
