Aims
The small animal phenotyping Core Facility aims at providing researchers within the "Arc lémanique" with metabolic approaches to study whole animals (rats and mice) in vivo.
It provides the following characterizations:
- Physiological and metabolic phenotyping, including the study of insulin sensitivity using the glucose / insulin clamp technique.
Use of the instruments of the Core Facility is in agreement with the 3R recommendations as it allows:
- To reduce the number of animals used, while following them longitudinally, thus preventing the need of sacrificing animals at each time point of a study
