During the 18th International Meeting of the European Calcium Society that took place in Doha, Quatar, several members from the Department of cell physiology and metabolism received prizes for their research.

The Best Short Talk Award went to Raphaël Néré, a PhD student from the laboratory of Prof. Nicolas Demaurex for his talk entitled “S-Acylation by zDHHC20 targets STIM1 to cholesterol-rich ER-PM contact sites to sustain Ca²⁺ signalling at the immune synapse”.

The Best Poster Prize went to Sana Kouba, a postdoctoral fellow from the laboratory of Prof. Nicolas Demaurex for her poster entitled “S-Acylation of STIM1 splice variants differentially regulate Store Operated Ca²+ Entry”.

In addition, a travel fellowship was granted to Pau Sanchez Molina and Raphaël Néré.
