I-Teams brings together the brightest undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdocs, and the university’s ground-breaking research to develop commercially viable strategies and build valuable university-industry links. Six teams of students, doctoral students and post-doctoral students, coached by project leaders, competed in the 13th I-Teams session.
The second prize went to Mélanie Fourgeaud from the laboratory of Prof. Maud Frieden and Diego Michel from the laboratory of Prof. Didier Hannouche under the supervision of Alexandra Bondaz, a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Pr Bernhard-Wehrle-Haller, with a project called "Audition Device".
The project concerns a portable device for testing hearing ability and detecting early signs of hearing loss, called Höra, which is closely linked to cognitive decline and mental health. It is aimed at older people and could be distributed through primary care networks or over-the-counter markets.
