Mapping the Functional Signature of Brain Disorders: From Neuroinflammation to Apathy

This meeting will explore how dynamic brain network patterns contribute to core pathological features of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Using molecular, behavioral and functional imaging approaches, the first presentation will examine the role of TSPO protein, neuroinflammation and its association with network alterations in Alzheimer’s disease. The second talk will focus on a reproducible signature in functional imaging involving the cerebellum and ventral tegmental area, and its relationship to apathy in schizophrenia.

Together, these presentations highlight how characterizing brain functional networks can provide converging insights across disorders and experimental scales, from animal models to patients.

Talks:

1 - Roles of TSPO and inflammation in neuropathology, cognitive impairment, and functional network deficits in Alzheimer’s disease
Speakers:
Aurélien Badina, PhD candidate, Millet Lab
Benjamin Vidal, Maître-assistant, Zerbi Lab

2 - A Longitudinal and Reproducible Anti-coactivation Pattern Between the Cerebellum and the Ventral Tegmental Area
Speaker : Jade Awada, PhD candidate, Begue lab
