Tommaso Venturini an associate professor at the Medialab of the University of Geneva and a researcher at the CNRS Centre for Internet & Society and a founding member of the Public Data Lab.

In 2017 and 2018, he has been a researcher at the École Normale Supérieure of Lyon and recipient of the “Advanced Research” fellowship of the French Institute for Computer Science and Automation. In 2016, he was a “digital methods lecturer” at the Department of Digital Humanities of King's College London. From 2009 to 2015, he coordinated the research activities of the médialab of Sciences Po Paris.]

Tommaso Venturini teach or have taught Controversy Mapping, Digital Methods, Data Journalism and Activism, and Internet Subcultures at graduate and undergraduate level as well as the Writing with Data Workshop for PhD and junior researchers. Since 2023, he is the director of the Master in Communication and Digital Cultures of the University of Geneva.
