A PhD is the highest degree delivered by the Faculty of Humanities. In order to obtain this post-graduate degree, students must develop a new and original research project that has not been presented for a PhD or an equivalent degree at another university.

Students can apply to any department that offers a PhD program. They are not required to attend classes during their PhD. They will be registered at the university for the duration of their program, which should take no more than ten semesters.
