Eva María Brú Tarí
Dr Eva Brú Tarí is a translational biologist specialising in the biology of pancreatic alpha cells and diabetes. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Geneva, she investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying pancreatic islet cell function and plasticity, combining human primary cell cultures, multi-omics technologies, and cellular reprogramming approaches.
As Co-Chair of the Centre, she plays a key role in setting strategic and scientific priorities. Her expertise in translational research, commitment to teaching and training, and active participation in international scientific networks, such as the EASD Early Career Academy, contribute to enhancing the Centre’s profile nationally and internationally. She also works to promote innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of early-career researchers in the fields of diabetes and metabolic diseases.
