Alcidia Ramos Barros

From liquid to powder: reinventing dengue vaccines

Alcidia studied pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Geneva, where she is pursuing a PhD in biopharmacy in Professor Gerrit Borchard’s lab. She formulates mRNA vaccine candidates against dengue fever, with a particular focus on improving their temperature stability. This project is conducted in collaboration with the research group of Professor Chutitorn Ketloy and Professor Eakachai Prompetchara at the Chula Vaccine Research Center, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand (https://www.chulavrc.org/). A former rhythmic gymnast, she now pursues her passion for movement through dance.
