Deepti Rawat
Hide, survive, infect: inside the survival playbook of a pathogen
Deepti is originally from India, where she completed her Master’s degree in zoology at the University of Delhi. Over time, her research interests shifted from larger animals to microscopic organisms, leading her to explore host-pathogen interactions. She is currently pursuing this interest in the Kline Lab, where she studies how Enterococcus faecalis survives inside host cells and how this persistence contributes to disease progression. When she’s not in the lab, you’ll find Deepti exploring new places—one dish, one place at a time.
