Nicola Cantoreggi holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, and a PhD in geography from the University of Lausanne. He is a lecturer and researcher with the Environment and Health Research Group (GRES), at the Institute of Global Health, University of Geneva. He is also a lecturer and researcher at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability of the University of Lausanne.

His research activities at the Institute of Global Health focus on urban health, on the environment and health nexus, and on the development and implementation of Health Impact Assessment (HIA) across various policy fields.
