March 13: MD-PhD defence of Mrs Delal Dalga
On the 13th of March 2026, Mrs Delal Delga will defend her MD-PhD thesis entitled "The role of Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1 in the kidney". Her thesis was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Sophie de Seigneux from the Department of Cell Physiology and Metabolism.
The defence will take place at 1:15 pm on the 13th of March in the auditorium P Boymond B02.2226, CMU.
Chronic kidney disease is a silent killer for which specific treatments are still lacking. In her MD-PhD thesis, Mrs Delal Delga studied the role of the Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1 enzyme in themitochondrial and metabolic dysfunctions occuring in chronic kidney disease with the aim of discovering new therapeutic avenues.
