Depending on your study programme and the length of your stay, you have several possibilities to learn, improve or perfect French:

• Study in French: the University of Geneva is a French-speaking institution. The majority of courses are therefore given in French. You can improve your French before your stay or during your study period, in parallel with the courses you are taking in your Faculty.

• Studying French: if French as a foreign language is your subject or one of the subjects in your programme of study, the objective of your stay can be focused on progressing in this language and developing skills in its cultural, literary or linguistic aspects.
