Bruno Poli
PhD student of GUILLAUME FRECHETTE
I completed both my BA and MA at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (Brazil), with a research stay at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany). My studies focused primarily on 18th- and 19th-century German-speaking philosophy.
As a PhD student under Guillaume Fréchette, I am part of the SNSF Consolidator Grant project: Origins of Contemporary European Thought 1837–1938. My thesis explores the philosophy of emotions within the context of 19th- and early 20th-century Austrian philosophy and how the arguments developed in that period can be applied to contemporary debates in the philosophy of emotions.
My main areas of interest are the philosophy of emotions, 19th-century philosophy, logic, and the historiography of philosophy.
