Timotheus Riedel

PhD student of Christian Wüthrich & Claudio calosi

Timotheus Riedel, PhD student in philosophy at the University of Geneva, is a member of both the Geneva Symmetry Group and the project The Metaphysics of Quantum Objects. Before arriving in Switzerland, he completed his MA in Philosophy at the University of Heidelberg and the MSt in Philosophy of Physics at Oxford University. In his PhD, he investigates into the coherence and intelligibility of Relational Quantum Mechanics, with a special focus on the exchange of information between observers and the acquisition of properties in interactions, as well as the merits of perspectival approaches to quantum theory more broadly. Apart from the philosophy of physics, he is also interested in meta-ontology and analytic philosophy of language.
