Kyryll Khromov

PhD student of marcel weber

I obtained my first degree in Odesa, Ukraine. Back then I did law, but when I moved to Geneva, I realised that what interested me the most were the most abstract parts of law, thus I decided to start a philosophy degree. My MA thesis "Attention Please: How a Theory of Attention May Reinforce the Attitudinal Theory of Emotions" was dedicated to the role that mental actions play in the phenomenological aspect of emotions.

My PhD research is dedicated to the question whether we can democratically justify evidence-based policymaking, provided that science itself is not value free.
