Launch of Humanitarian Health MOOC (Massive Open Online Course)
The Geneva Centre of humanitarian studies is delighted to launch today a new MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on Humanitarian Health, co-developed with Médecins Sans Frontières and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
This new Humanitarian Health MOOC offers an accessible introduction to how health challenges are addressed during crises. The course explores key issues such as emergency response, coordination between actors, and the legal frameworks guiding humanitarian work. It also challenges common misconceptions about humanitarian action, encouraging a more nuanced understanding of affected communities. Designed for beginners, the MOOC equips participants with practical insights and critical perspectives on global health emergencies.
Find out more on this course and watch the video with our director, Prof. Karl Blanchet.
