why is this phd important for me (my career, my organization or country)?

This PhD is important for my career growth and country as it aligns well with the current global need to strengthen surveillance systems and response to public health threats. Completing my PhD may be an opportunity for my country to transform its public health and surveillance systems into efficient healthcare systems with a near-to-/real-time capacity to respond to outbreaks.

why did i choose this phd program?

The Global Health PhD program aligned well with my research topic and allowed me to conduct my research feasibly between Switzerland and Tanzania where the project is implemented.
