Gregor John graduated from the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and was board certified in internal medicine in 2009. He is currently a senior physician within the Internal Medicine Department of the Réseau hospitalier neuchâtelois - site Pourtalès and as an external consultant in the Division of General Internal Medicine of the HUG. Gregor John has been teaching at the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine since 2013, where he was appointed privat-docent in 2018 and Adjunct Professor in April 2025. Interested in clinical research from an early age, he was one of the first students to benefit from the Louis-Jeantet Foundation's Research Programme for Medical Students (1999-2000). His current academic interests include geriatric syndromes in internal medicine and pulmonary embolism. Gregor John has conducted several multicentre and international studies and is the author of numerous scientific publications. In 2017, he was awarded the Alex-F. Müller Prize for Pathophysiology by the Faculty of Medicine's Prize Committee.
