In 1876, the Faculty of Medicine in Geneva opened its doors. Its history is inextricably linked to that of Geneva itself: born amid the scientific effervescence of the 19th century, it grew alongside the city, embraced its ambitions, and helped forge its position at the heart of the city and in touch with the world. Antoine Flahault: looking back on twelve years at the head of the Institute of Global Health

In 2014, Antoine Flahault was tasked with creating and developing the Institute of Global Health (ISG) at the Faculty of Medicine. On his retirement from the UNIGE and the HUG, he looks back on the creation of an innovative institute at the heart of international Geneva, the challenges of scientific communication and the threats that multilateralism in health is currently facing.

The Faculty of Medicine is working towards greater environmental sustainability

To assess and reduce its impact on the environment while preserving the quality of teaching and research, the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine has launched the PERFoRMed project. It aims to estimate the environmental impact of the University Medical Centre (CMU) and the activities carried out there, and to take greater account of this issue in teaching.
