Delphine Courvoisier obtained in 2006 a PhD in quantitative psychology, a domain of statistics specialising in the development and analysis of questionnaires, such as patient-reported outcomes. This training was completed by a Master's degree in statistics from the University of Geneva (UNIGE), followed by a Master's degree in epidemiology from Harvard University. She spent two years at Harvard as a lecturer before returning to Geneva in 2013 to work as a statistician in the Division of Clinical Epidemiology at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). At HUG, she is currently affiliated with the divisions of rheumatology and of quality of care. There, she continues her research on quality of care, particularly the dimensions of equity, efficiency over time, and patient-centered care. She also provides methodological and statistical support to numerous individuals within HUG through the GUILDE project (Guided Learning and Development). In terms of teaching, she is responsible for two Master's level statistics courses and co-supervises the master's theses programme. She leads two continuing education modules on the use of statistics for subjective patient assessments and on the use of indicators to guide improvements in the quality of care. She was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine in 2019, then tenured Associate Professor in November 2025.
